The Buehler Home was established in 1932 at the behest
of Phoebe Buehler as a memorial to her husband and Peoria
business icon Christian. Mrs. Buehler directed in her
will “that the income of my estate be given and
relinquished” for the creation and operation of
a “home for the aged.” This extraordinary
act of generosity led to the construction of the original
building, which has since been expanded and renovated
several times. Since its founding over 70 years ago,
thousands of Peoria area residents have made Buehler
Home their home. Each has discovered an outstanding
level of hospitality and service from this experienced
and proficient provider.
