Some retirement communities offer what is known
as “priority access” to health care services.
Essentially, you are promised a bed in the nursing facility
ahead of someone from outside the community, but only
if one is available. The surprise comes when you get a
bill for over $4,500 or more per month. Or worse, there
is no bed available. In a Life Care community, you will
be guaranteed health services when needed… without
the surprise. And that is much more valuable.
